Why Flavor Matters More Than You Think
Terpenes aren't just about taste. They actually affect how cannabis hits you. This is called the entourage effect. The idea that cannabinoids and terpenes work together to produce specific effects.
Take linalool, for example. It's found in both cannabis and lavender. Strains high in linalool tend to feel more relaxing. Or myrcene, which gives some strains that earthy, musky character and is associated with sedating effects.
When you strip out the terpenes (like distillate does), you're left with pure THC that hits hard but feels flat. Live resin keeps everything intact, so the high feels more like smoking the actual flower. Just concentrated.
